4 NEW NPCs (Crossovers) + More
5 Million Worlds + The Hecate Sector Crossovers with The Hands That Feed
Two new official NPC crossovers with two new publishers!! This time the The Hands That Feed, and the larger Tunaverse, combines with 5 Million Worlds Press and The Hecate Sector! I’m a big fan, and friends with Chris and Joshua and am pretty stoked for these collaborations because they are both building out their Mothership universes similar to the way we are here – so your crews can jump to and fro into new surprising territories with enough familiarity to feel inside a living world.
For the rest of The Guac we’re announcing a free zine for all The Hands That Feed backers, showcasing some new spreads from The Hands That Feed, sharing a solid selection of Cool Links, and more info on the free NPC Crossovers! We’ll have solid updates on everything Spicy Tuna in November and December that will layout and show progress on both current projects and a peak into 2025.
Now to the meat!

The Hands That Feed New Bits
First a quick heads up for everyone – The Hands That Feed has 55 hours left in the campaign. If you’re interested in backing, here’s the link.

Next, the free zine for The Hands That Feed backers! Threads and Fibers, which features 8 new NPCs that are employees and acquaintances of those employed by corps and organizations in The Hands That Feed and our other Mothership modules, giving you more options to loop between them.
It also features a unique Shore Leave Menace! I love writing these things. The menaces are complications, generally little horrors or rogue tech, that can be plopped anywhere your players explore outside of missions. They are less lethal ways to remind the crew that life in space is more messed up than they could possibly imagine – past the corporate control and conflict, beyond the underpaid hazard pay and deathly missions, there’s always something stirring and threatening their sanity.
Speaking of shore leave menaces, The Hands That Feed backers (at $60+ pledge levels) receive a free menace called “This Milk Is A Ghost” which details a ghost that lives in a carton and causes havoc when ingested. We’re close to unlocking an additional shore leave menace called “Codename: Silver Ant” named after the fastest ants on earth. I’m pretty stoked about the menaces because I love a good complication during shore leave, whether it’s a change in a relationship dynamic or a got damn ghost.
New NPC Crossover Downloads
Here are the four new NPCs! Big thanks to Chris and Joshua for writing these with me. It was great and I’m looking forward to more! The two pairs turned out quite different from one another – Garron and Gulag are an eccentric lot that are fittingly scoundrels while Jonji and Deacon are highly motivated corporate topplers.
Corporations used from The Hands That Feed so far: Hypnaxus, Weevil Inc, and The Slice News. I’ve included our Magnum Galaxy Crossover in the link below as well! Hope you enjoy them!

> 5 Million Worlds Press’s Next Project
Gulag is an expanded entry from Chris’s upcoming Not Enough Scoundrels (ready for prelaunch signups now and dropping on Backerkit on November 12th). Gulag and Garron, who is a makeup artist for The Slice News, were made for each other. They’re shallow petty thieves that leverage their knowledge of fashion and make up for access. They’re an unconventional pair that I think are a lot of fun, especially because they are currently allied but tension between them is tightening.
While making this crossover I got to read the whole manuscript for Not Enough Scoundrels, and I love it! New thoughtful and useful ships, a space trucker campaign framework, and of course…scoundrels and smugglers. Chris also wrote In Vinos Captivitas, an adventure inside The Hands That Feed, and it was awesome coming full circle to write a few NPCs for the world.
>Joshua Justice’s Current Project
Deacon LeFleur is a central figure in The Hecate Sector. A foreshadowing for a future release from Joshua Justice while supplying a job for your NPC that takes place in the Hecate Cassette Archives (their current project that is getting close to its publish date and still accepting pre-orders). Deacon’s companion NPC is Jonji who is a hypnotherapist working for Hypnaxus. We decided it worked great to deeply embed her into Joshua’s Hecate Sector and I’m pretty stoked with how in it this pair is.
Joshua has been building out the Hecate Sector since its first release Radio Free Hekate, a pamphlet adventure I was able to playtest and highly recommend as a great introduction to Mothership, and is detailed further with its first zine, Hecate Cassette Archives. The Hecate Sector will be built out further next year, introducing more about Deacon LeFleur and their compatriots at Analog Survey. If you’re interested in seeing more from Joshua you can preorder Hecate Cassette Archives here:
> Resharing Magnum Galaxy’s Upcoming Project
Our first NPC crossover for The Hands That Feed was with Magnum Galaxy who is launching Awaiting The Burning Gods alongside Not Enough Scoundrels in November. I neglected to share an image for Dave’s campaign so here I am today to share it! Also - don’t forget you can download Dave and I’s NPC crossover through the same link above! And, as a reminder Awaiting The Burning Gods is Indiana Jones meets Stargate in this desert delve to uncover ancient alien secrets buried beneath shifting sands!

I just stumbled upon the Curious Archive Youtube Channel, and I’ve really enjoyed their commentary and exploration of various speculative fiction genres. They’re very fitting to my interests in writing and ttrpgs. Maybe you’ll like them too.
